Because of their size, they can be used as the material of a pair of fuzzy mittens. Warm skin is provided by the pelts of rabbits that have been treated with skin brighteners. Once you have stitched the tube closed, you can turn the mitten right side out and voila! You have now made your very own pair of rabbit fur mittens. Then, stitch the tube closed, making sure to leave a small opening for your thumb. To do this, simply fold the tube in half so that the open end is closed off. Once you have sewn all of the strips together, you can begin stitching the tube closed. Then, continue sewing the strips together, end to end, until you have one long “tube” of fur. To do this, take two strips of fur and sew them together at one end. ![]() ![]() To sew the mittens, you will need to create a “tube” out of the fur strips. Once you have cut the fur into strips, you are ready to start sewing. The width of the strips will depend on the size of your mittens, but they should be around 3-4 inches wide. Next, you will need to cut the fur into strips. Once the skin is removed, you can remove the fur from the skin by gently pulling it away. Be careful not to cut into the flesh of the rabbit. This can be done by making a small cut around the base of the rabbit’s neck and then peeling the skin down the body. Once you have all of your materials, you are ready to begin. You will need a pair of scissors, a sharp knife, a needle and thread, and of course, some rabbit fur. To start, you will need to gather your materials. Though they may seem like a daunting project to tackle, with a little bit of patience and the right tools, anyone can make their own pair of rabbit fur mittens.
